We can all get a bit stuck in a rut, and the thought of trying something new seems a bit too much like an expensive hassle. Fortunately, we have a handful of freebies that will let you shake things up for free. Whether you fancy going out somewhere a bit different, trying a new look, or experimenting with new groceries, you can do it all for nothing this week.

Free pop up speaker
New members of Topcashback.co.uk can get their hands on a free pop-up speaker from IWOOT. All you need to do is register on the site, click the 'get cash back now' button to go to the 'I Want One Of Those' website, buy it before 4th September, and wait for the cash you spent to go back into your Topcashback account. The speakers usually cost £9.98, so it's a nice little freebie.

Free seeds
Grow Wild is hoping to splash a bit of natural colour around the country this October (and offer a boost to insects like bees). It is giving packets of wild flowers away free so you can play your part. Just visit the website, fill in your details, and they'll send you your freebie. You don't need a big garden in order to take advantage, they suggest you can use them on anything from balconies to old boots, streets to shared spaces, and boxes to buckets.

Free lipstick sample
If you fancy trying something new for free, then Buxom cosmetics are giving away samples of their lip colour. It's apparently a lightweight liquid lipstick with a whipped texture - so it might make a change from a trusty old faithful that has been kicking around for a while. Given that it's free, what have you got to lose?

Free Heritage Open Days
The users of HotUKDeals.com have pointed out that Heritage Open Days are back again between 8th and 11th September. It's your chance to see all sorts of historic places, some of which are not usually open to the public. The National Trust is running tours of lots of the Ambassadors' Residences in London as part of the event, while a number of churches are opening up their bell towers for people to have a go at ringing the bells. There's also a good chance you can get into your local historical attractions for nothing. Full details are available on the website

Tesco freebies
One user of Hotukdeals.com has highlighted a special deal that Tesco offers. You sign up for Tesco Orchard, and receive a questionnaire about you, your family, and your likes and dislikes. Then occasionally you will receive emails offering you the chance to review a product. You answer a short survey about what you already think of it, then you get a voucher for £5 off the product, and you write a review. As the user says: "Then its up to you at the end really, the more you review it etc the higher your orchard score and more likely you will be sent invites."
