Air New Zealand recently became aware that images of uniformed employees performing questionable acts have been floating around the internet.

Among them is a video showing an attendant walking down the aisle of a plane, spewing water from her mouth.

The footage is captioned: "Wish I could spit on passengers like this."

Another is a picture of a pilot kissing a blow-up doll while sitting in a plane's cockpit.

The airline noted it was 'shocked and appalled' by both. It also clarified that, while the content was posted to social media about one and four years ago, the matter only came to its attention in recent days.

Thus far, two employees involved have been placed on leave.

One no longer works for the airline. Air New Zealand is in the process of further investigating the situation.
