THIS COMPETITION HAS NOW CLOSED

We've teamed up with British stand-up paddleboard experts Live the Adventure to offer one intrepid couple the chance to win an adventure on one of the UK's most historic rivers.

Run by leading river instructor Ant Eddies-Davies, who has trained everyone from international defence forces to fire and rescue teams, the SUP experience will show the River Severn in a completely new light.

Ant, who won an Unsung Hero award at the National Adventure Awards earlier this year, already runs kayaking and cycling holidays in some of the remotest parts of Nepal and Bhutan and wanted to bring a sense of adventure to Shropshire.

"Stand-up paddleboarding is relatively easy to get to grips with for first timers but can quickly become quite addictive," says Ant.

The River Severn is a fantastic location to experience the beautiful Shropshire countryside from a unique perspective while enjoying some exercise and a great day out.

Live the Adventure travels to some remote parts of the world with spectacular landscapes and has brought the excitement to Shropshire while offering the opportunity to see the region from a different perspective.

The day trips - half spent on a lake to get know the basics, the other half on the river - are aimed at all levels of ability and ages 14 to adult, although under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. All those who take part must be able to swim. Lunch is included in the trip.
