Pics of pants on pegs point to Lineker wearing his undies on Match Of The Day

Match Of The Day bosses have hinted that Gary Lineker could stick to his promise and host the next instalment of the BBC show in just his underpants.

Lineker, 55, vowed to front the football programme in his underwear if underdogs Leicester City won the Premier League, which they did in May.

Unfortunately, he made his promise public, writing on Twitter: "If Leicester win the @premierleague I'll do the first MOTD of next season in just my undies."

Now a picture from Match Of The Day has been released, showing a pair of white Y-fronts hanging on a peg marked Lineker.

Another image showed the pants hanging next to pegs with the presenter's shirt and blazer on either side.

The new series of Match Of The Day kicks off at 10.30pm on BBC One on Saturday.
