Drowning leopard rescued from 60-foot well
Quick-thinking locals in the Maharashtra state of India worked together with the Junnar Forest Division to save a leopard that had fallen down a well.
It is thought the leopard was probably chasing prey when it fell. A farmer later found the animal and raised the alarm.

The wild cat was visibly shaken and was in danger of becoming exhausted from paddling.
First, onlookers lowered a bundle of sticks for it to cling on to instead of floundering in the water.
Meanwhile, forest officials prepared a pulley system to lower a box into the well.
Luckily, the panic-stricken leopard jumped into the safety of the box and was pulled back to dry land.
After a medical check-up it was released back into the wild.
