The winners of Friday's massive Euromillions jackpot have been revealed as a family from Monmouthshire in Wales.

Sales executive Stephanie Davies, 23, along with her partner Steve, mother Sonia and Sonia's partner Keith Reynolds, and sister Courtney have scooped an extraordinary £61,102,442.90.

Sonia and Keith were on holiday in Florida when they read about the rollover. Sonia had just been given the all-clear after surgery for a tumour on her parathyroid gland.

Feeling particularly lucky, and hoping they were on a roll, Sonia phoned home to ask Stephanie to buy six Lucky Dips.

But it was only on Sunday that Stephanie remembered to check the tickets. On her way up to bed, she said to her partner Steve, "If I shout down it means we've won the lottery and if not, I've gone to bed."

And when she checked the numbers on her iPad, she discovered that they'd won the whole £61 million.

"I was shaking and crying, ticket in one hand, iPad in the other," she says. "Then I locked the doors just in case someone heard!"

They'd matched five main numbers - 01, 21, 26, 40 and 50 - and two lucky stars, 02 and 04.

Stephanie called Sonia and Keith, who were by now at the airport waiting for a delayed flight home, to give them the good news. "It was the longest flight of our life!" says Sonia.

The jackpot is the fourth to have been won in the UK this year. Brits won £24.7 million and £24.6 million in February, as well as £51.8 million in April. All these winners chose to remain anonymous

"What an amazing win for the UK - the fourth EuroMillions jackpot to be won here this year," says a National Lottery spokesman.

"We're delighted the ticket-holder has come forward to claim their prize and their ranking of 10th place in the National Lottery rich list."

Big as the Davies's win is, it's nowhere near the largest to have been scooped by a winner from the UK. In 2011, Colin and Chris Weir, from Largs in Ayrshire, won £161,653,000.

The cameraman and nurse spent part of their winnings on cars for friends, a mansion and a donation to the Scottish independence campaign.
