Colombia is a very popular cruise destination but it's cited as one of the top 20 most dangerous countries in the world.

Meanwhile, Mexico, another popular pit stop, is allegedly bad for 'wrong place at the wrong time' violence with high rates of passengers being robbed on their way back to the ship.

In St Lucia, the amount of robberies targeted at cruise ship passengers is so high that some companies are considering dropping it from their itineraries all together.

The US Virgin Islands also made the list, with St Croix being so bad that allegedly no cruise ships are allowed there during the summer months.

Turkey also makes the list. While the crime rates aren't that bad, the Overseas Security Advisory Council suggests that terror threats are a serious concern.
