Kids fly for free with British Airways

Families can make huge savings on their summer holidays thanks to a partnership between British Airways and some of the UK's biggest airports offering free flights for kids.

Supported by Visit Britain, BA is working with Belfast City, Heathrow, Inverness, Leeds Bradford and Newcastle International airports to allow children under 12 to fly for free on domestic flights.

The initiative, which started on July 14, looks set to boost UK tourism by encouraging families to fly more cheaply between London, the North, Scotland and Northern Ireland for their holidays.

Helping to cut holiday costs even further, Heathrow Express and Novotel have also come on board to offer family discounts.

The partnership with UK airports means kids can travel for free when travelling with an adult up until November 1, 2016.

Kids can also stay for free at Novotel hotels when adults book a stay and travel for free on the high-speed link between Heathrow and London's Paddington station.

Sara Dunham, British Airways' head of marketing, retail and direct said: "Saving every penny counts when it comes to family holidays so flying kids for free will make it cheaper to fly away for fun and see more of the UK, on a British Airways flight.

"We are delighted to be joining forces with other great travel brands to offer families free child flights and discounted holiday deals."
