Long-time pals David Walliams and Barbara Windsor enjoy Pet Shop Boys concert together

They've been close friends for many years, and David Walliams and Barbara Windsor have enjoyed another night out together on Wednesday.

The Britain's Got Talent judge was joined by the EastEnders stalwart at the Royal Opera House to watch Pet Shop Boys perform the first gig from their four-night residency at the London venue.

And David, 44, made sure to keep his 1.7m Twitter followers involved in his star-studded evening as he shared a handful of snaps of himself with Barbara, 78.

One picture showed the long-time pals posing together during the gig, as he wrote: "With Dame Barbara Windsor @RoyalOperaHouse for @petshopboys stunning new live show #InnerSanctum."

Another tweet saw David praise the West End Girls stars' Inner Sanctum concert as the "best live show ever".

Showing off his showbiz prowess, the former Little Britain star also revealed he and Babs had a chance to meet up with one half of electronic music duo, Neil Tennant, after the concert.

David and Barbara have been close companions for over a decade, and are often seen stepping out in the capital together with mutual friends.

One such occasion, back in 2006, saw them head out in fancy dress costumes for a party with David's frequent collaborator Matt Lucas.

The Pet Shop Boys - which also includes Chris Lowe - were the first act to ever perform an electronic show at the Royal Opera House.
