Freebie Friday: a little bit of what you fancy does you good

It can't be said that this week's freebies are enormously healthy, but with free ice cream, free beer and cocktails, and free BT Sport, there's a reasonable chance that the freebies will put a smile on your face - and that can't be bad for anyone.

Free Magnum ice creams
The users of HotUKdeals.com have spotted that Uber is delivering free ice creams today in a number of cities around the world. In the UK the deal is on in Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Glasgow, the home counties, Leeds, Leicester, London, Manchester, Merseyside, Newcastle, Nottingham, Portsmouth, and Sheffield. You just need to download the Uber app, then between 11am and 7pm you can set your location and if there's a car nearby, they will deliver four Magnum ice creams to your door. They are expecting demand to be high, so not everyone will get one, but you can keep trying until the offer closes at 7pm.

Free train travel
New users of Topcashback.co.uk can get £10 cashback on any purchase at Thetrainline.com between now and 27 August. If you shop around far enough in advance, you'll be surprised how far you can travel for £10. If you don't have a railcard you can get a free trip from London to Birmingham for example, while if you do have a railcard you can get even further for free.

Free cocktail
When you sign up to newsletters from Pitcher and Piano, you can get a free drink every month. This month you can choose between an Aperol Spritz cocktail or a pint of Red Stripe - alternatively you can ask for a soft drink instead. You just need to sign up and download your voucher, then show it to the bartender when you order.

Free BT Sport
EE customers pay monthly customers will get free access to BT Sport for six months. The users of HotUKdeals.com point out that it's a result of the fact that BT has acquired EE, and applies to new and existing users, so it's a nice freebie. After the six months, you can continue to get access for £5 a month or cancel it.

Two free pints
When you download the Kozel Pint Finder app, you'll get a voucher for two free pints of Kozel lager. It's available at about 200 pubs and bars, and you can use the pint finder to locate your nearest. The deal runs until 21 July, but it's worth bearing in mind that each venue only has a limited number to give away, and downloading your voucher is no guarantee you'll get one of them. You'll need to go to the pub and show it to a member of staff to redeem your two pints.
