Triple-deck roundabout planned for northern England

An ambitious plan to introduce a triple-layer, congestion-busting traffic system to one of Britain's busiest roads has been revealed.

The proposed £75 million system has been cleverly designed to cut congestion on the junction of the A19 and A1058 Coast Road, which leads to the Tyne Tunnel in Newcastle.
