This is why you shouldn't brag about crime on social media
Police said on Thursday a Florida burglar who posted a Facebook video bragging about a $500,000 jewellery haul has landed himself and one of his accomplices in jail.
Officers from Pinecrest, Florida said they arrested 18-year-old Raderius Glenn Collins after he uploaded the video to Facebook on May 27th.
Police said his friend, 27-year-old Marcus Terrell Parker, was arrested after another burglary on June 9th.
The video runs more than seven minutes long and has over 3,000 views.
It shows the men bragging about their illegal earnings, exclaiming: "We got a safe!" and "Can someone say 'cheque please'."
The man in the driver's seat makes sure the traffic is still red and proceeds to proudly reveal his bag of cash to the camera while the other two men cheer.
According to Reuters the two men took the safe from a private home and one of the suspects told police that they had sold on the stolen jewellery already.
Communications director for Pinetree, Michelle Hamontree, told Reuters: "It was just one dumb decision after another."
