Has the Loch Ness monster finally been caught on camera?

A holidaymaker named Tony from Ireland was visiting the beautiful Loch Ness in Scotland when he caught some interesting footage.

The legend of the Loch Ness monster is renowned worldwide, but the elusive lake lurker's existence has never been confirmed.

Watch closely as the water ripples heavily in a straight line in the centre of the shot.

Legend has it that Nessie, who lives in the largest body of open water in Britain, is a large aquatic beast that roams the waters of Loch Ness.

The story of the monster is said to have first come about in May 1933 when a local couple claimed to have seen 'an enormous animal rolling and plunging on the surface', history.com reports.

Interest grew and tourists flocked to the area. The Daily Mail are said to have sent Marmaduke Wetherell, a big-game hunter, to the area to capture the famous beast.

He came home empty handed but did report that he had found footprints which looked like they came from a large four-legged animal.
