Easyjet to turn away passengers who arrive 30 minutes before flight
Easyjet is cracking down on passengers who arrive late for their flights.
The airline is imposing a new rule that stops anyone trying to pass through security barriers with less than 30 minutes before takeoff.

Travellers could also end up paying £80 to get another flight, according to the report in the Independent.
Easyjet security barriers at Gatwick will be reprogrammed to reject those with less than half and hour left to departure. So there will be no getting through security and sprinting to the departure gate in the hopes of getting on a flight last minute.
The Metro reports that the small print on boarding passes now reads: "Gatwick security control gates are automatically being timed to close 30 minutes before departure."
The airline sells missed flight cover insurance for £7.50 offered before travel so you can get a full refund if you miss your flight.
However, if you don't have the cover in place, you will be charged a 'rescue fee' of £80 to switch to another flight.
So, the moral of the story is: don't be late!
