Police officer dragged along road by car in China
CCTV has captured the moment a Chinese police officer was dragged along a road by a motorist attempting to escape following a collision.
In the footage, which was captured in Changsha, Hunan Province on May 12, a small minibus can be seen reversing into another car as it emerges out of a junction.
Noticing the incident, a nearby police officer runs over to the scene to investigate. However, the driver at fault suddenly completes a u-turn and begins to speed off.
The brave policeman, in an attempt to bring the motorist to justice, clings to the minibus's open window and is dragged a number of metres up the road before painfully tumbling to the floor.
As a result of the incident, the police officer was taken to hospital with deep abrasions to his face, arm and ankle.
The minibus driver was later arrested and found not to have the appropriate driving licence for the vehicle.
