Climb trees in Cumbria

With the recent release of The Jungle Book in cinemas, kids everywhere are looking to bring out their inner Mowgli and there's no better place to do it than at the new tree castle at Wray Castle. The tree castle was designed and built by National Trust rangers from suggestions and drawings sent in by children. The two-storey 4x5-metre structure has a slide, fireman's pole, two climbing boards and a battlement top. It offers some of the best views from a tree house in the UK – looking toward Lake Windermere and the fells beyond. As well as exploring the new tree castle this half term, children can take part in archery tasting sessions on Wednesday 1 June. Adults £8.50, children £4.25, family ticket £21.
