1. Mayday Festival at Kentish Town City Farm

If you're looking for a fun activity to enjoy with the kids this weekend then get yourself down to Kentish Town City farm on Sunday for their Mayday Festival. 2. London Zoo
Does spending the day with monkeys, tiger and penguins take your fancy? Well you can do all that and more at ZSL London Zoo this bank holiday! 3. Go to London's biggest waterside festival
Celebrate London's waterways with the city's biggest waterside festival this weekend, IWA Cavalcade. The event runs from Saturday to Monday and visitors will get the chance to admire a host of decorated boats that will be in the pool. Once you're done there you can take in a Punch & Judy show or watch the competitions and parades. You can grab a bite to eat and a drink at the real-ale bar before you leave too. Tickets: Free. 4. Go to the Gorilla Circus
The Gorilla Circus Flying Trapeze School will be returning to Regent's Park from 1 May this year. Learn to 'fly' in a one or two hour drop in class. Students start with warm ups before moving on to the low trapeze bar and the session will end with attempting a trick on the Flying Trapeze. Tickets: from £24. 5. Have a Knightmare time at Southbank Centre

6. See Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

9. Take part in the Days of Poland Festival
The Days of Poland festival will be returning to Potters Field Park in the heart of London's South Bank this May. 10. Go back to nature at Camley Street Natural Park
For those that want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city this bank holiday then why not head to one of two unique acres of wild green space right in the heart of the capital. Camley Street Natural Park was created from an old coal yard in the 1980s and is right in the middle of King's Cross. It's become a natural habitat for birds, butterflies and amphibians and is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the scenery.
