Andy's hotel fought off competition from Links House at Royal Dornoch, Ardanaiseig Hotel in Argyll, Mar Hall Hotel & Spa near Glasgow, and the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa.
The 13th annual awards, judged between January and March each year by a panel of 10 with over 50 peer judges, featured 29 categories.
According to Herald Scotland, this included four new ones to reflect changing trends in the industry: Boutique Hotel of the Year (The Raeburn, Edinburgh), Events Hotel of the Year (Caledonian), Bar Dining of the Year (Piper's Tryst, Glasgow) and Pet Friendly Hotel of the Year (Dryburgh Abbey Hotel).
Balbirnie House in Markinch in Fife won the overall top spot to be named Scottish Hotel of The Year and also picked up Wedding Hotel of the Year, reports the Scotsman.
This is the third year running that Andy's hotel, near his hometown of Dunblane, has won the luxury award.
The hotel website reads: "Andy has transformed the elegant Victorian Perthshire mansion into a luxury 15-bedroom and Gate Lodge, five-star destination.
"It offers guests the chance to experience the sort of decadent lifestyle once enjoyed by the Lairds of Cromlix, redefined for the 21st century by sumptuous surroundings and impeccable yet discreet service.
"Situated in beautiful countryside, just three miles from Dunblane, Cromlix is set in 34 acres of secluded woodlands and garden grounds, with its own chapel and house loch.
"The hotel boasts a Chez Roux restaurant, offering reasonable priced menus that focus on using seasonal locally sourced produce wherever possible, five suites and ten bedrooms, gate lodge accommodation, reception hall, two drawing rooms, conservatory, dining room, snooker and meeting rooms."
