Teenage driver jailed following police chase in Birmingham

A teenage driver was caught on camera fleeing from police at high speed through residential streets in Birmingham.

The footage, recorded on a dashboard camera mounted to a police car, shows the 17-year-old tearing through narrow streets in the Maypole area of the city. Officers had spotted the vehicle acting suspiciously and tried to stop the car. However, the driver chose to speed away, leading police on a chase that reached speeds of more than 75mph.
