Sometimes the most surprising pairings make for the best of friendships.

This adorable foxcub, aka Puggle, was rescued from a garden in London when he was just two weeks old.

After Puggle was found he was taken to the National Fox Welfare Society.

The rescue centre gives stuffed toys to the animals for comfort and Puggle was no different.

Workers quickly realised that Puggle had really taken to his new friend.

Even though foxes and bunnies aren't the best of friends in the wild, the staff have shared plenty of pictures of the ever so cute Puggle cuddling with his fluffy new friend.

It's not all relaxing and snuggling though, Puggle likes throwing his little friend around and playing with him too.

Thankfully Puggle has been doing really well at the NFWS, he's very healthy and gets along well with the other foxes.

It won't be long before he's integrated into another fox family pen with foxes his age and size and the NFWS will continue to look after the little fox cub until he's ready to go back into the wild.

Until then he'll have all the time in the world to play with his fluffy, bunny friend!
