Cheryl and Ronan Keating honoured for their charity work
Singer and TV personality Cheryl Fernandez-Versini - now known as just Cheryl - is to be recognised for her charity work at a star-studded event hosted by Hollywood actress Eva Longoria.
The former X Factor judge will receive the Global Gift Philanthropist award at a charity gala being held in Paris.
The award will honour the work she has done through her charity, Cheryl's Trust, which supports disadvantaged children and youths across the United Kingdom.
She said: "I am honoured to be this year's recipient of the Global Gift Gala Philanthropist Award.
"I'm proud of where I grew up but I'm only too aware of the challenges that young people face. I want to give back and help young people who feel like they'll never achieve anything reach their dreams and live a happy life."
The 32-year-old recently confirmed she would not return to judge on the popular ITV show but will focus on her music career.
Irish singer Ronan Keating will also be honoured at the Global Gift Gala, which is part of the Global Gift Foundation's charitable drive to raise funds for women and children around the world.
Former Boyzone member Keating will be awarded the Global Gift Excellence award, honouring the work he's done for the cancer charity he set up in memory of his late mother, the Marie Keating Foundation.
Singer Johnny Hallyday's wife, Laeticia, will also be honoured, as will French singer Line Renaud.
Eva, whose own charity will also feature on the evening, said: "I am absolutely thrilled to be returning to Paris for our seventh Global Gift Gala. This charitable event recognises prominent figures who dedicate their time and energy to helping those who need it most."
The awards will be handed out at the event on May 9 at the Four Seasons Hotel George V in Paris.
