Someone tried to sell David Cameron on eBay

You can find some strange things on eBay, in fact you can usually find whatever you're looking for whether it's new or used, faulty or working... but one rather odd auction lot made it onto the site on Monday.

UK Prime Minister David Cameron is among the many rich and powerful people affected by the Panama Papers, and many are calling for his resignation.

One clever individual had another idea – just sell him, and on Monday afternoon, an auction for the leader turned up on eBay.

Cameron's condition was described as "For parts not working." It was also made clear the buyer was solely responsible for pick-up and transport as it stated: "Buyer must collect. Seller not prepared to touch item. Pick up from central London, address will be supplied on completion of sale. Buyer must arrange own transport."

But where would you even find such an item on eBay? The seller had apparently decided to list the Prime Minister in eBay's Statues & Lawn Ornaments category.

Cameron proved to be incredibly popular, receiving over 150 bids. The selling price reached the equivalent of roughly $90,000 US before eBay pulled the listing on Tuesday.
