Two held after boy, 15, is stabbed to death

A 15-year-old boy has died after being stabbed in a fight between a group of youths.

The victim was taken to a south London hospital with a stab wound following the clash in New Cross Road, Lewisham, at 7.41pm on Sunday.

But he later died of his injuries shortly after 9pm.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said two male youths, whose ages were not given, were arrested close to the scene and remain in custody at a south London police station.

The spokesman said: "Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command have been informed. Enquires continue."
