Queen's Diamond Jubilee Bentley Mulsanne for sale for £199,850

Updated

A Bentley car once used to take the Queen to her Diamond Jubilee celebrations has been put up for sale for almost £200,000.

The four-year-old vehicle was retired from the royal fleet in 2014, and has been put on the market for £199,850 by Bramley Motor Cars.

The Bentley Mulsanne was put into service with the Royal Household "exclusively for use by HM Queen Elizabeth II" and over the course of two years the monarch used it when visiting 10 Downing Street for her first Cabinet meeting and during the Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

Its new owner may have to reset the sat-nav, as pictures of the car show its "home address" as "Windsor, Berkshire".

Bramley Motor Cars has put the 2012 Bentley, which has less than 6,000 miles on the clock, up for sale at its showroom near Guildford in Surrey.

The car, described in the listing as "ex-Royal Household", has a 6.75-litre engine, 20in alloy wheels, cruise control and a leather interior. It can reach 60mph in 5.1 seconds, and has a top of speed of 184mph - more than double the speed limit on UK motorways.

A spokesman said: "This car presents a collector with the rare opportunity to purchase a car that has been used to good effect by our longest reigning monarch."
