Abandoned car causes commuter chaos near London

Commuters were plunged into a rush hour disaster as an abandoned car on train lines between Pitsea, Essex and London Fenchurch Street disrupted travel plans.

Emergency services were called to the scene in attempt to move the Volkswagen Polo, as well as making sure that there was no one in the stationary vehicle. It had been found blocking the lines at around 4.15am on Tuesday, but took many hours to remove.
