Man jumps from van seconds before train hits (video)

A man who got his van stuck on a railway track didn't appear to be in too much of a rush to get out of the way - despite the fact a high speed train was hurtling towards him.

He got out of his vehicle and was trying to get his bag out of the back seat when a police officer ran over to hurry him along.

A train then smashes into the van at high speed as the two men look on.

The man got stuck on the train line after trying to beat the closing barriers.

A policeman said on the Facebook page: "He tried to go around the semi when the gates were coming down and got stuck on the tracks."
