CCTV caught the moment the bus momentarily teetered on the edge before diving in front first.
According to AsiaOne, the people on board were trapped in the bus for 40 minutes before being rescued.
The two passengers were not injured, but the driver was taken to hospital and treated for a head injury.
The bus was then removed from the sinkhole around four hours later, reports the Shanghaiist.
