Electric Corvette sets speed record

A modified Corvette Z06 has broken the record for a road legal all-electric car top speed at a run at Kennedy Space Center, Florida.

The GXE, which had been modified by 'Genovation', an American electric car company, topped 186mph in the test on the former Space Shuttle landing strip, thanks to the 44kWH battery pack.
