Freebie Friday: try something new for nothing
Spring is taking its sweet time to arrive, but you don't need to wait for some semblance of sunshine and flowers in order to start afresh - you can ring in the changes yourself with these freebies. We have something new to taste, a free way to sample a great day out, new DVD freebies, and a way to get a whole new look for nothing.
Free Disney DVDs
At the moment, plenty of stores are offering two Disney DVDs for the price of one but if you use Topcashback and buy through Zavvi, you can get two for the price of none. All you need to do is sign up, find the deal, buy the DVDs, and wait for the 100% cashback to appear in your account - ready to transfer into your bank. The deal runs until 13 March and is only available to new members.
Free Silverstone Fun Day
The users of HotUKdeals.com have spotted that Silverstone is holding a family fun day on Easter Sunday (27 March). There will be an Easter Egg hunt, plus face painting, mini tours, a pit stop tyre change and electric go-karts. There will be a charge for some of the activities when you're there, but admission is free.
Free kids' cooking classes
If you are looking for free entertainment for the kids over Easter, then it may also be worth checking out the cookery classes Tesco is holding over the holidays. Selected stores run the free 2-hour classes on three consecutive days - and the kids will be expected to attend all three if they sign up. If the kids are aged 8 or over you can even drop them off and enjoy two hours of free childcare. However, these courses are very popular, so if you want to take part, you'll have to book early.
Free almond milk
Tesco has issued this month's coupons, and eagle-eyed users of HotUKdeals.com have spotted that they include £1 off a litre of almond milk. They have also discovered that at the moment the milk is on offer at £1, so if you act fast you can get it for free.
Free Schwartz mix
If almond milk isn't enough of a departure from the norm for you, you can get your hands on free Schwartz mixes in any variety. You'll need to sign up to Quidco, buy the mix in Tesco, Asda or Morrisons, and then upload the receipt either to the website or to the app - and you'll have the £1 cost refunded. The deal runs until 8 March, but it's worth buying sooner rather than later as there are only a limited number available.
Clinique
Boots is running it's ever-popular Clinique Bonus Time offer - where you buy qualifying items and get loads of goodies for free. This time round you need to buy two items - including at least one skincare or foundation. In return you'll get a travel make-up bag including a variety of travel-sized goodies - including the new Clinique Pop Lip Colour & Primer. If you buy three items, you'll also get a free full-size Rinse-Off Foaming Cleanser.
