It will be located on the side of the tallest building in the city, the US Bank Tower, and stretch between the 70th and 69th floors.
Daredevil tourists will only need the courage and eight dollars to experience the vertigo-inducing attraction.
On a clear day, it will offer panoramic views towards Catalina Island, 22 miles off the Pacific Coast, and over the Santa Monica Mountains to the city's sprawling San Fernando Valley.
Lucy Rumantir, head of US operations for the building owner OUE Limited of Singapore, told AP: "There will be nothing like it in the US.
"When you do something new in LA you've got to be creative."
The Skyslide is scheduled to open in June.
