Adorably cute orphaned sea otter finds forever home
Do you remember the orphaned baby sea otter that was found crying for her mother? Well, we have some good news. The pup has now found her forever home...

The baby sea otter first came to the internet's attention in early January, when she was seen being pulled from the crashing waves of a Californian beach. While experts at The Monterey Bay Aquarium were able to rescue the pup, they were sadly unable to find her mum.
Luckily, life has since got much better for the baby otter.
Workers at Monterey Bay have taught the pup some essential life skills, including swimming and diving, and how to eat chopped solid food, such as squid, deshelled clam, shrimp and mussel. And she's now found her forever home thanks to the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago.
With approval from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the baby otter was flown to Chicago on 27 January. Described as "healthy, alert and feisty" the baby otter - temporarily named Pup 719 – is "receiving around-the-clock care" from a team of surrogate human mums.
In case you're wondering, the name Pup 719 refers to the number of otters taken into Monterey Bay Aquarium's Sea Otter Program since its inception in 1984. And don't worry, staff at the Chicago aquarium are working on a better name for her!
