Man carries gnome along M60, sparks police alert
A man was arrested in Greater Manchester after concerned motorists thought the gnome he was carrying on the M60 was a "small child".
The man was spotted near junction two of the motorway on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the BBC, after members of the public alerted police, he was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence.

Writing on Twitter, NW Motorway Police said: "Earlier today we had a lady taking her dog for a walk on the M60 now we have a man carrying a gnome".
Greater Manchester Police shared a photo of the gnome and wrote: "Now safe and well in our office after being taken from a pedestrian M60 J2. This is a Missing from Gnome Enquiry !"
