The horrifying moment a pilot was forced to make an emergency landing in France has been caught on a camera placed inside the plane.

The small plane's engine failed shortly after take off from an airfield in Seine-et-Marne, Il de Re, forcing the pilot to come down in a nearby field.

But, according to the Daily Telegraph, as he touches down, the landing gear collapses and the plane ricochets and rolls over several times.



It finally comes to a stop next to a road between Giremoutiers and Mouroux, reports the Daily Mail.

The site adds that the incident occurred on New Year's Eve, and that the pilot had over 400 hours of flying experience.

Amazingly, he was not injured in the crash.
