An East Dulwich house has sold for £800,000. It was snapped up quickly, despite the fact that it's about half the width of a normal house. But what will the new owner get for their money?

The house, squeezed into what must have once been a small gap between properties, is advertised as being handy for Peckham Rye station.

It has managed to squeeze in two bedrooms, and a swanky new bathroom and kitchen. The ground floor is one long reception room: there's no separate lounge, but there is room to hang out in the kitchen.

The back of the kitchen also features bi-fold doors, so you can spread out into the garden on nice days. The garden itself could do with a little TLC, but for a property this size there's a reasonable amount of space.

Upstairs there are two bedrooms and a bathroom - although the second bedroom is 9' 9" by 9' 3" - so if you want a king size bed in there you'll have to dispense with the rest of the furniture.

It's not the most spacious property in the area, but it has been renovated to a stunning standard. The price is also impressive for the area. Usually a house in this condition would be priced somewhere between £825,000 and £900,000, and at this price point if you wanted a newly-renovated property, you'd expect a two or three bedroom flat.

For anyone who fancied a whole house, and was willing to sacrifice a bit of space in order to afford it, it would be an ideal solution. Plus, when you compare it to the country's narrowest house - at just 47 inches across - it's positively palatial.

But what do you think? Do you fancy the property? And would you pay £800,000 for it?
