An asteroid is set to skim past Earth on March 5, Nasa has predicted.

Two years ago, the same asteroid buzzed by earth at around 2.3 million miles away - but this time it will be much closer.

Nasa estimates that the space rock, which measures around 100ft in diameter, could fly by as close as just 11,000 miles away - which is 21 times closer to Earth than the moon.

However, it is very hard to predict its trajectory: the space agency says it could also pass at a distance of nine million miles.

On 28 September 2017 the asteriod, named 2013 TX 68, is due to pass Earth again - and scientists say there is a one in 250 million odds that it could collide with our planet.
