Londoners are spending thousands of pounds each year on cars that they rarely use, according to new research.

A survey of 1,000 motorists conducted by YouGov found that more than half of the capital's drivers use their vehicle for less than an hour a day. One in five drivers were found to be covering less than 50 miles a week in their car.
