Four of the UK's most scenic drives

The new Rough Guide to Accessible Britain, out this month, celebrates some of the best and the beautiful countryside that can be appreciated on four wheels, with a series of driving routes designed to take in some of the country's most scenic settings.

The guide features nine scenic drives through Britain's varied countryside, including:

1. The Exmoor Scenic Drive (pictured above), which covers 21 miles of windswept moors to wooded valleys and impressive coastline.

2. The North Yorkshire Moors, which takes in the spectacular moorland as well as a host of historical and architectural gems.

3. In East Anglia, the drive through Stour Valley and Dedham Vale, where landscape artist John Constable painted some of his most famous masterpieces, as well as areas associated with author illustrator Beatrix Potter and 18th century portrait painter Thomas Gainsborough.

4. Snowdonia's beautiful drive through a plethora of backdrops from woodlands to valleys, mountains, beaches and ancient castles.

The Rough Guide to Accessible Britain was developed in association with Motability Operations Ltd, the company that operates the Motability Car Scheme for disabled people.
