House-hunters are too busy dreaming

Updated

We've given up finding sensibly-priced property within our budget. Figures from Zoopla reveal that in January, instead of hitting the internet to hunt down the ideal property in our price bracket, we gave up entirely, and devoted the month to dreaming about properties we'll never be able to own - and we found some incredible dream properties.

6. This new-build mansion on the outskirts of London is on the market for an eye-watering £16.8 million. 4. This new five-bedroom detached property in East Preston, West Sussex, is on the market for £1.595 million. There's a good chance that some of the 55,000 viewers were drawn by the idea of a family home within commuting distance of London and walking distance of the beach. Although how many of them have this sort of cash handy is another matter entirely.
