He told the Daily Mail: "The cheetah stands in the background to the right of a marula tree, very well camouflaged against the dry grasses."

Mr Collin added: "I take random pictures of subjects that I find interesting. I sometimes post them to Facebook. This one is hard to see, hence the tongue-in-cheek caption 'spot the cat'.

"I doubt if I'll capture the same shot again."

Last year, a leopard found the perfect place to hide when it was pictured resting on a yellow-coloured tree.

The big cat climbed the Fever Tree in Serengeti, and was snapped by Prelena Soma Owen, a 47-year-old photographer from Sandton, South Africa.

She said: "It took me quite a while to actually see the leopard on the tree - the camouflage was incredible.

"Leopards are often found sleeping in trees, usually after a meal or just resting.

"They usually take their kill up a tree to stop scavengers getting to it."
