A mother and her infant daughter had a lucky escape after a stolen car catapulted them into the air while attempting to escape from police.

The car struck the 33-year-old and her 7-month old daughter in the San Martin area of Buenos Aires, Argentina. While the baby was thrown clear of the vehicle, her mother was scooped onto the vehicle's bonnet, where she remained trapped for approximately 15 seconds before she was thrown off.
