A British man accused of killing his wife in Majorca has allegedly claimed that she died in a sex game that went horribly wrong.

Lisa Jane Lyttle, 49, from London, was visiting her husband Warren Lyttle, 50, for a week's holiday when she died in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Warren is being held on suspicion of her homicide after reports claim she was strangled to death with a phone charger during a row.

Warren made a call to emergency services admitting to killing his wife.

According to the Metro, a spokesman for the Guardia Civil said: "A British man who is resident in Majorca phoned the emergency services around 3.20am on Saturday and confessed during the call to killing his wife.

"The victim was strangled with a telephone cord during a row.

"Her husband is being held at a Civil Guard station and will be handed over to a judge for further questioning."

However, Warren reportedly told a court on Sunday evening that she died accidentally during a sex game.

The Mirror reports that a source said: "Warren Lyttle told the judge his wife died during a sex game.

"He also claimed she had proposed the role-play he says led to her death.

"He confirmed in court he had confessed to killing her in the phone call he made on Saturday morning to the emergency services, but told the judge it was an accident and things just got out of hand."

The paper adds that Warren's mother said there appeared to be no problems in the couple's marriage, while Lisa Jane's family said they had a "turbulent" relationship.

Lisa has an 18-year-old daughter who lives in London, and spent her time between London and Majorca, where Warren has lived for a decade.

A post-mortem on Saturday revealed Lisa died from asphyxia due to strangulation.

Around 300 people held a five-minute silence for Lisa Jane at Calvia Town Hall over the weekend.
