The site surveyed over 400 airlines, looking at things like government audits and fatality rates.

Three star rated airlines include Fastjet, Bangkok Air, Jetstar Pacific and Libyan Airlines.

At the two star level some of your options include Nok Air, Airlines PNG, Blue Wing and Cam Air.

Finally, the ones that performed the worst are: Citilink, Lion Air, Wings Air and Xpress Air.

On a more positive note, 148 of the 407 airlines surveyed came away with the top rating and fatalities from 2015 are below the ten-year average.

Just last week Australian airline Qantas was revealed as the world's safest airline for the third consecutive year.

The airline was praised for its 'fatality-free record' in the AirlineRating.com list.

Cathay Pacific, Emirates and KLM also made their way to the top of the list with regard to safety while Virgin Atlantic was the only UK airline on the list.
