This new piece of carry-on luggage uses a camera sensor and Bluetooth pairing to follow its owner around, avoiding obstacles with proximity detection.

All it takes to operate this new bit of fancy equipment is a simple app and the touch of a 'follow me' button.

The suitcase even sends real time data including weight and location to your smartphone and has an anti-theft alarm so you can make sure no one else lays their hands on your luggage.

Another key feature is that this suitcase can even charge your phone, tablet and other devices in case you need an extra charge during your flight.

The case is still in the testing phase but is supposed to be on the market within a year.

While the current prototype is set at a 'slow-medium' speed, the creators are still trying to decide how fast the luggage should move.

According to the Telegraph, the suitcase is currently made with Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene materials which are tough and resilient, and the NUA CEO has said that in the future their will also be a waterproof model.
