Man searches for 'quirky girl' he met on a bus on New Year's Eve

A man who was travelling through Brisbane, Australia, on a bus on New Year's Eve has captured the country's attention with a Facebook post.

The man who created a profile under the name of 'Bus Guy' posted a message on the social media site seeking help in finding a girl he met and spoke to on the number 200 bus on 31 December.

He starts the post: "To the quirky girl I met when we got on the bus, the 200, at about 8.45pm on New Year's Eve - I can't stop thinking about you."

The mystery romantic goes on to talk about which stop they both got on at, where they left and what they spoke about.

He describes the girl, who he estimates was around 23-years-old, as slim and 'a little taller than me.'

His story continues as he outlines what he learnt about her during their conversation.

He adds at the end of the post: "I didn't get your number. I didn't even get your name. The regret is eating me alive as I know that I may never see you a second time. You were just so damn fun and adorable. I've never been so curious about and so enthralled by anyone in my life."
