The most beautiful mountain range in the USA captured from the air

Just outside Seattle, Washington is the Snoqualmie Pass, known as one of the most beautiful mountain areas in the United States.

This area comprises deep forests, plunging waterfalls and alpine glaciers and is famous for its astounding scenery as well as its snow.

Snoqualmie Pass is one of the major mountain passes traversing the great Cascade Range, a 700-mile complex of volcanoes extending from British Columbia to northern California.

The most famous feature is the chain of massive, aloof stratovolcanoes that stagger its spine, summits such as 14,410-foot Mount Rainier, 12,307-foot Mount Adams, 11,249-foot Mount Hood and 14,162-foot Mount Shasta.

Because of the Cascade Range's immense snowfalls, travel over Snoqualmie Pass can be dicey.

According to USA Today, blizzards are common in winter, and the steep surrounding slopes sometimes produce avalanches. Some 450 inches of snow typically fall at the pass each winter.
