Driver hides from police in nativity scene after crashing

A man suspected of drink-driving tried to evade the police by hiding in a nativity scene after crashing his Mini Cooper.

After the Mini crashed through metal barriers at the side of the A659, just outside Tadcaster, North Yorkshire, the driver abandoned the vehicle and tried to hide in a large shed displaying a nativity scene.
