Black Friday is all about the door-busters: the huge discounts on high-end items that people dash to snap up when the shops open. For many shoppers the ultimate prize on Black Friday, is a new TV with hundreds of pounds knocked off the price. This year a number of retailers are offering massive discounts on televisions, so here is our rundown of some of the biggest deals and bargains around.

Argos
Argos is offering a huge number of deals. One of the biggest savings is for the Seiki 55 Inch Full HD LED TV, which is now half price (£349). At the pricier end of the spectrum there's £300 off the LG 55UF675V 55 Inch 4K Ultra HD Freeview HD TV (now £749) and the Samsung UE55J6300 55 Inch FullHD FreeviewHD Smart Curved TV is down £500 to £799. The cheapest TV deals start at £119.99 (all of which have £20 off), so you don't need to have an enormous budget for a discounted TV.

Black Friday deals have been running all week on the site, including plenty of TV discounts. Deals include a Samsung UE32J5500 32 inch Smart TV down from £399 to £269, a Samsung UE55J5100 55 inch TV down from £849 to £649 and a Samsung UE55H6200 55 inch Smart 3D TV down from £1099 to £699.

John Lewis
There are loads of deals, plus price match offers. A couple of the best include theLG 55UF860V 4K Ultra-HD 3D Smart TV, 55 inch down £200 to £949; and the Sony Bravia KD43X83 LED 4K Ultra-HD Android TV, 43 inch down £90 to £649.

Sainsbury's
Deals are only available in store, but the store revealed details of special offers in advance. These include the Celcus 32 inch HD ready LED TV with Freeview at £100, down from £180, plus Now TV V2 (including two months of Sky Movies) down from £25 to £15.

Tesco
There are an awful lot of TVs on offer, so if you're on the lookout for something specific it's worth checking the full range. At the cheaper end of the spectrum the Blaupunkt 32/136i 32 Inch HD Ready 720p with Freeview is down £50 to £99. Going slightly larger there's Sharp LC49CFE5001K 49 Inch Full HD 1080p LED TV down £150 to £249. At the top end there's also the Samsung UE60JU6800KX A+ Rated 60 Inch 4K Ultra HD down £879.99 to £1,420.

Currys
Currys is taking part in Black Friday again, and has reportedly increased its stock levels 40% to deal with demand. There are a huge number of TVs - especially Samsungs, so if you want something specific it;s worth checking the site. Highlights include the Samsung UE60JU6000 Smart Ultra HD 4k 60" LED TV down £600 to £899; Panasonic VIERA TX-40CX400B Smart 3D Ultra HD 4k 40" LED TV down £120 to £379; and the LG 43UF680V Smart Ultra HD 4k 43" LED TV down £450 to £449.

John Lewis
The thing that makes John Lewis such a good place to start on Black Friday is its Never Knowingly Undersold promise, which means it's matching Black Friday deals available at its competitors. Electricals tend to be its biggest sellers on the day, so you can expect a number of decent savings on TVs.
