The family of gun victim Lewis Dunne, who was shot and killed in Merseyside on Sunday night, said they have been left "broken".

Sixteen-year-old Lewis was found suffering from a serious gunshot wound to his back after being blasted on a canal towpath in Eldonian Village, in the Vauxhall area of Liverpool, shortly before 11.20pm.

His mother Gemma, father Steven and sisters Ashley and Yasmin said: "Most people wait years to find their soul mate, but the day our Lewis was born was the day our hearts and souls were complete."
