This time of year is all about treating other people. We scour the internet and the high street for the perfect presents (ideally at a discount), and spend every penny making other people happy. Unfortunately this tends to mean there's very little left to treat ourselves with. Fortunately, there are a handful of brilliant freebies that will let you treat yourself for nothing.

Free Minions DVD

If you've never used Topcashback.co.uk before, you can sign up and get a special offer - a free Minions movie DVD. Just sign up through the offer page, click through to buy the DVD from HMV, and within 14 days the money will be refunded into your cashback account - and can be transferred immediately into your bank account. The deal runs until 22 November.

Free Star Wars keychain

A new O2 Priority freebie starts today, offering a free Star Wars keychain in Next. You'll need to be on O2, and download the O2 Priority app to get your hands on the freebie. However, given that there are usually at least three good freebies a month available through the app, it may well be worth getting a pay-as-you go sim in order to take advantage of the deals.

Free Christmas drink

The uses of HotUKDeals.com have spotted that Starbucks is offering 2 for the price of 1 on Christmas drinks. The deal started yesterday, and runs until Sunday. Each day, between 2pm and 5pm, if you buy a festive drink, and show this voucher (either printed off or on your phone), you'll get another for free. Drinks in the offer include gingerbread latte, eggnog latte, toffee nut latte, and honey and almond hot chocolate. If you're a member of MyStarbucks reward, you can take advantage of the deal on Monday too.

Free tea

If you buy the December issue of Ideal Home, you'll get a voucher inside for a free tea caddy and 100g of loose-leaf tea from Whittards. You just need to take the coupon into your nearest store to pick up your freebie - which is worth a total of around £10. You will need to fork out £3.70 for the magazine, but it's still a decent saving.

Free drink

Pitcher and Piano is offering a fairly odd drink as its freebie this month: a Żubrówka Apple Zu cocktail. If that doesn't float your boat, it is also offering a free glass of red or white wine when you buy any flatbread. To qualify, you'll need to sign up for the monthly newsletter. On the plus side this only tends to be used for sending you details of freebies - so there are worse newsletters to be signed up to.
