New tests for autonomous vehicle systems to be introduced

European safety organisation Euro NCAP is to introduce a new test that will see how autonomous vehicles detect and prevent collisions with pedestrians.

With the increase of autonomous driving systems, it has come to the attention of Euro NCAP that tests need to be undertaken in order for both consumers and manufacturers to find out which programme is the best.
